Guest Lecture Gateway to Pharma Excellence by EsPharma Education

Tagore College of Pharmacy organized a Guest Lecture titled “Gateway to Pharma Excellence: GPAT, NIPER & Opportunities Ahead” on 23rd July, 2025. The session commenced at 10:00 AM in the Bharathiyar Hall within the college campus. This event was curated with the vision of empowering pharmacy students with strategic guidance on postgraduate entrance examinations and the numerous opportunities available in the pharmaceutical sector.

Objective of the Event

The primary aim of the guest lecture was to enlighten students about the career prospects in the pharmaceutical field, particularly through qualifying competitive exams such as GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) and NIPER-JEE (National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Examination). The lecture also focused on highlighting the academic and professional avenues that open up upon clearing these examinations.

Guest Speakers

Two eminent speakers from Hyderabad graced the occasion and shared their vast expertise:

  1. Mr. CH. Uma Shankar
      – Managing Director, Skills Trainer, Entrepreneur, and Startup Consultant.
      – Founder of EsPharma Education and EsPark Publications.
      – He spoke passionately about developing core competencies, setting clear academic goals, and building confidence in facing entrance examinations like GPAT and NIPER.
  2. Mr. TVR. Upendra
      – Academic Director, EsPharma Education.
      – Ex-Consultant with leading firms such as KPMG and PharmaAce.
      – His talk emphasized strategic preparation, real-world application of pharmaceutical knowledge, and higher education opportunities both in India and abroad.

The session was presided over by Dr. K. Ilango, Principal, Tagore College of Pharmacy, he motivated the students and reflected the institution’s commitment towards fostering academic excellence.

The program began with a formal welcome address by Dr.K.Priyachitra. Mr. CH. Uma Shankar initiated the lecture, discussing the roadmap to success in GPAT/NIPER and beyond. Mr. TVR. Upendra followed with a practical overview of exam trends, study methodologies, and motivational insights. An interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify their doubts directly with the speakers. Total of 101 students from IV & VI Semester B. Pharm has attended the session.

The guest lecture proved to be a great success, as it significantly motivated and informed the pharmacy students. Many students expressed interest in enrolling for GPAT coaching and expressed confidence in preparing for higher education opportunities. The speakers’ practical insights and motivational guidance were extremely well-received. The event helped bridge the knowledge gap regarding national level exams and created awareness about the scope of pharmaceutical education and careers.

The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks. Tagore College of Pharmacy continues its journey towards academic distinction by organizing such impactful knowledge-sharing sessions.
