CURRENT GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES DAY CELEBRATION

As per the PCI circular with reference number: 14-460/2025 dated 03.10.2025, Tagore college of Pharmacy celebrated current Good Manufacturing Practices Day on 10 October 2025.

Final Year Pharmacy students attended the seminar on the topic “Good Laboratory Practices” and “Current Good Manufacturing Practices “ delivered by Dr. I Kannan, Associate Professor of Microbiology, Incharge of Tagore bioincubation Centre, Tagore Medical College and Hospital and Dr. J. Padmavathy, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, Tagore College of Pharmacy, Chennai.

The event started with the welcome address by Dr.N. Vanitha Rani, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Mrs. Nithyasree, followed by eminent speech by Dr. I. Kannan, who elaborated on the topic “Good Laboratory Practices”. Dr. J. Padmavathy, briefed on the topic “current GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES” to educate the importance of practicing cGMP in their pharmacy field.

The students actively participated in the seminar clarifying the doubts in the current GMPs. The event concluded with Vote of thanks by Ms. K. Sree Lakshmi. With the major support from the Management, Principal, Staff Members and Students, the event turned out to a grand success.
