Parent Teachers Meet

The Parent Teachers Meet (PTM) for the academic year 2025 was organized by Tagore College of Pharmacy on 19th July, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The event was held at Bharathiyar Hall in the college premises. This gathering aimed to strengthen the relationship between parents and faculty and to collaboratively work towards the academic and personal development of students.

Objective of the Meet

The primary goal of the Parent Teachers Meet was to:
– Facilitate open communication between faculty and parents.
– Share student progress in academics, attendance, and behavioral aspects.
– Address concerns and receive feedback from parents.
– Discuss future academic plans, placements, and higher education opportunities.

The PTM witnessed active participation from the parents of students belonging to the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th semesters. Faculty members of respective departments were present to interact with parents, share feedback, and respond to queries. The Principal, Class In charges and Subject faculties also took part in welcoming and addressing the gathering.

Program Highlights

  • The session commenced with a welcome note by Dr.K.Priyachitra, followed by an address from the Principal, Dr. K. Ilango, who briefed the gathering on the college’s achievements, ongoing initiatives, and future vision.
    • Parents were then directed to interact with respective class coordinators and faculty members to review their ward’s academic progress.
    • Individual feedback sessions allowed parents to share their perspectives and suggestions.
    • Open discussions included attendance, exam preparedness, academic counseling, and overall student discipline.

All attending parents and faculty members were provided with tea and snacks during the session.Parents appreciated the initiative and expressed satisfaction over the college’s efforts in student welfare and academic excellence. Several valuable suggestions were noted by the staff. 

The PTM concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks delivered by the faculty coordinator. The college looks forward to organizing more such collaborative events in the future to ensure holistic student development.
