Tagore College of Pharmacy was established in 2019 with the introduction of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program, with an intake of 60 students. The course is approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

In pursuit of academic growth and excellence, the institution has expanded its offerings with the introduction of the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics with an intake of 15 students, and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program with an intake of 30 students, both approved from the academic year 2025–26

The course is supplemented by a refreshing breath of co-curricular and extracurricular activities to gain expertise not only in technical aspects, but also acquire personality excellence and leadership qualities that are vital to excel in a competitive world. Curriculum of the Undergraduate program inculcates students with skills and techniques in the field of pharmacy, besides a strong foundation in mathematics, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, business management, and instrumentation and computer education. They will also gain practical experience from field visits to Pharmaceutical industries, hospitals and Pharmaceutical research laboratories.
