5th National Pharmacovigilance Week-2025 & 64th World Pharmacist Day-2025

The 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week and the 64th World Pharmacist Day with the theme “Your Safety, just a Click Away: Report to PvPI”& “Think Health ,Think Pharmacist” were celebrated with great zeal at Tagore College of Pharmacy, Chennai, on September 24, 2025. The celebration was graced by prominent dignitaries from academic and healthcare sectors and aimed to highlight the indispensable role of pharmacists in ensuring patient safety and advancing healthcare. Total of around 80 students and staff participated in this program.

Invocation: The event began with a prayer, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the day. 
Lighting of the Lamp: Marking the auspicious beginning, dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp symbolizing the spread of knowledge. 
Welcome Address: Delivered by Dr. K. Priyachitra, Professor at TCP warmly welcoming the Chief Guest, dignitaries, students, and faculty members. 
Pharmacist’s Oath: Administered by Dr. S. Mohideen, Professor at TCP, this part of the event serves to remind participants of their ethical duties and responsibilities as pharmacists. 
Inaugural Address: Presented by Dr. R. Seetharaman, Principal, TCP, who highlighted the event themes — “Your Safety, just a Click Away: Report to PvPI” and “Think Health, Think Pharmacist” — emphasizing the critical importance of pharmacovigilance and the expanding role of pharmacists in global health. 
Chief Guest Address: Delivered by Dr. T. S. Naveen Venkatesh, who shared his expertise on pharmacy practice, clinical vigilance, and supply chain management, inspiring the audience to contribute to safer and more efficient healthcare. 
Prize Distribution: Winners of the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week competitions and various academic and extracurricular contests were recognized and honored. 
Vote of Thanks: Dr. J. Padmavathy, Professor at TCP expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty, and students, acknowledging their contributions to the success of the program. 

The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, followed by refreshments for all Staff members.
