Guest Lecture was organized by Tagore College of Pharmacy (TCP) Rathinamangalam on 19.03.2024 from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. Guest Speaker Dr. Valliappan Kannappan, Former Professor, Quality Assurance, Founder of www.chiralpedia.com, has taken a lecture on “CHIRALITY: From Biology to Pharmaceuticals” for B Pharm students in Bharathiyar Hall. He has been awarded Dr. D P Sethi, Dr. M.L Khorana Best Paper Award. He has delivered lectures in various organizations and Universities. The program has started with a welcome address by Dr. K. Ilango, Principal, TCP. Entire event was hosted and the Speaker introduction given by Dr. K. Priyachitra, Professor. Total of around 116 students and staff participated in this program. The speaker explains the Basics of Chirality, Chiral Inversion and timeline. The lecture also discussed about the Separation and Analysis of Chiral drugs to solve Pharmaceutical & Biomedical problems, Chiral Pharmacology, Chiral Switch. After his lecture the students were given time to interact with him. Students felt that the session was more informative and interactive. At the end of the guest lecture, faculty members and students gave their feedback, and explained how they were benefited. As a token of appreciation speaker has presented with a memento.
