Tagore College of Pharmacy had celebrated “3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week (Boosting Public Confidence in Pharmacovigilance,)” on 17th–23rd September 2023 and “World Pharmacist Day (Pharmacy Strengthening Halth Systems)” on 25th September 2023.

The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. M.Mala, Chairperson & Managing Trustee, Mr. G.Manikandan, Secretary and Ms.M.Rakshana, Trust Member, Tagore Education Trust

We observe World Pharmacist Day on 25th September each year to honour pharmacists for their efforts to improve global health. Pharmacists Day is celebrated annually with the goal of promoting efforts that emphasize and defend the contribution that pharmacists make to the advancement of world health. This year’s theme for World Pharmacists Day is “Pharmacy Strengthening Health Systems”.

The week-long celebration featured several impactful activities. The special week aims to create awareness in public and healthcare professionals about the importance of ADR reporting with the theme: Boosting Public Confidence in Pharmacovigilance at Tagore Medical College & Hospital. Several competitions were held – essay competition (Importance of ADR Reporting), quiz, E-poster, etc. Prof. S.K.Sridhar, Principal, Tagore College of Pharmacy delivered a special session on Pharmacovigilance on 22.09.2023.

The concluding celebration was held in at Auditorium of Tagore Engineering College on 25.09.2023. Dr. M.Vijaya Vara Prasad, Dean, Crescent School of Pharmacy graced the event and presented an interactive session on the history of Pharmacy education and profession globally and in India. The winners of the week-long events were awarded trophies and certificates.
